S.O.U.T.H. Entertainment was founded in January 2005 by Lil' Juice (Mr. CEO). Lil' Juice has been committed to the rap game since he wrote his first rhymes in 1997. A native of Charleston, South Carolina, he spent the early part of his music career mastering his craft alongside his childhood friends of Undagroun' Recordings. He always felt that he was "sittin' on unbelievable talents homeboy." That phrase became the rock foundation he used to build the S.O.U.T.H. Entertainment empire.

The first album to be released under the newly formed label was his solo album "Check My Status" in 2006. That same year Lil' Juice along with his neighbors, B-Streets and Sal Slumz formed the group Dedmyn Mafia. Together they made "Respect It or Hate It" parts 1 & 2. The success of those two albums made the name Dedmyn Mafia the franchise group for the label. In September 2007, Dedmyn Mafia released "Hood Domination" which has received the most success. It has sold the most units worldwide and has had the most downloaded tracks. In November of that same year, a young aspiring group named the Kuntree Boi's (Slim Grippa & Mc) was signed to the label. Lil' Juice felt that there was a missing piece to his puzzle. He wanted to add more female vocalists to his roster so that females could have an icon to relate to on S.O.U.T.H. Entertainment. While undergoing his search, the Kuntree Boi's had recieved word of someone who was interested in filling that role. They introduced him to an artist named Dutchess. With a talented roster, the artists on S.O.U.T.H. Entertainment offer a sound that is unmatched in the underground market. They all share a common goal by wanting to bring South Carolina's music scene noticeable attention to the rest of the country. They have been quietly making a lot of noise in the streets and together S.O.U.T.H. Entertainment is the movement that continues to knock down doors in the music industry.
